Privacy policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
Who we are: Specky King is made by R Salotti in Western Australia. Contact: hello@speckyking.com.
The short version
- The website collects your email address only if you sign up for launch news.
- The game doesn't ask for your name, email or an account. Your career and Kick Six results stay on your own device.
- We don't sell data, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
Launch news sign-up
If you sign up on speckyking.com, we collect your email address. Before you can sign up you tick a box to confirm you're 16 or older, or a parent or guardian signing up for a child. The tick isn't stored, only the email.
- Why: to email you when Specky King launches, and now and then with big news.
- Where: sign-ups are stored by Kit, the email service we use to send news, in the United States. Kit first emails you a link to confirm, and you're only on the list once you've confirmed. See Kit's privacy policy.
- How long: until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it, or we close the list.
- Stopping: every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email hello@speckyking.com.
Kids under 16: please ask a parent or guardian to sign up for you.
What the game stores on your device
- Your career save (club, squad, ladder, newspapers and achievements), so you can keep playing.
- Your Kick Six results, best score and streak.
- Settings such as sound, match length and which coaching tips you've seen.
This stays on your device. Clearing the browser's site data or deleting the app removes it, and we can't recover it for you.
What leaves your device
- Hosting: Cloudflare serves the website (and the web game once it's out), and processes your IP address to deliver pages and protect them from attacks. We see visit totals, not who visited. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Fonts: the website and web game load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details. See Google's privacy policy.
- In-game news: the game reads a small news file from speckyking.com, served by Cloudflare as above. Nothing about you or your saves is sent.
Planned services
We'll add each of these to this policy before it goes live.
- Crash reports: what went wrong, your device and browser type, and the game's version. IP addresses are dropped before storage. In the apps, this will be Firebase Crashlytics (Google).
- Gameplay analytics: in the apps, anonymous events such as "match finished" or "Kick Six played", tied to a random ID rather than to you, using Firebase Analytics (Google) with the advertising ID switched off.
- Purchases: Apple and Google handle payment. We receive a receipt and a random customer ID, never your card details.
- Ads: none at launch. If that ever changes, they'll be family-safe and non-personalised, and this policy will say so first.
Children
Specky King is made for footy fans of all ages, including kids. The game itself doesn't collect personal information from anyone. The only personal information we collect is a sign-up email, and we ask kids under 16 to have a parent or guardian sign up instead. Ads, if any, will be family-safe and non-personalised.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@speckyking.com. If you're unhappy with our response, Australian residents can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. People in the EU, UK and California have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA, and can contact us the same way.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll post the new version here with a new "last updated" date, and announce big changes in the game.
